‘Why Did You Give Birth to Me?’ Boy Is Ashamed of Old Mom Until He Learns He’s Not Her Son

Gloria sat in the quiet of her home, the sting of Tim’s hurtful words echoing in her mind. Her heart ached not just from the pain of his words, but from the deep disappointment she felt in the growing rift between them.

Tim had always been a spirited child, full of energy and curiosity. But lately, as he entered his teenage years, their once-close relationship had become strained. Gloria struggled to connect with him as he pulled away, immersed in his own world of friends and activities.

That evening, after yet another argument, Tim stormed out of the house, leaving Gloria standing alone in the hallway, tears streaming down her cheeks. She sank onto the couch, her thoughts swirling with a mix of sadness and frustration.

Hours passed, each minute feeling like an eternity as Gloria waited anxiously for Tim to return. The sound of the door opening finally broke the silence, and she looked up, hoping to see her son’s face, softened with remorse.

Instead, it was their neighbor, Mrs. Jenkins, standing in the doorway, her expression grave. “Tim!” Gloria exclaimed, her heart skipping a beat as fear gripped her.

Mrs. Jenkins held Tim firmly by the arm, her voice tinged with anger. “Do you realize what you’ve done?” she scolded him, her eyes flashing with disappointment.

Tim recoiled, his defiance giving way to confusion. “What are you talking about?” he muttered, his voice tinged with guilt.

“You’ve given your mother a heart attack!” Mrs. Jenkins exclaimed, her grip tightening on Tim’s arm.

Tim’s eyes widened in shock, the weight of Mrs. Jenkins’ words sinking in. Guilt washed over him as he realized the impact of his harsh words on Gloria. Without another word, Mrs. Jenkins led him across the hall to her apartment.

Inside, she handed Tim a folder filled with documents—birth certificates, adoption papers, and legal statements. Tim’s hands trembled as he flipped through the pages, his mind struggling to comprehend the truth.

“You want the truth?” Mrs. Jenkins asked quietly, her voice softened by empathy. “Gloria is not your biological mother.”

Tim’s breath caught in his throat, his world spinning at the revelation. He stared at Mrs. Jenkins, unable to find the words to express the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside him.

Mrs. Jenkins continued gently, “Your biological mother passed away shortly after giving birth to you. Gloria and her husband, who was your father, adopted you when you were just a few days old. They raised you with love and care, Tim. Gloria is your mother in every sense of the word.”

Tears welled up in Tim’s eyes as the weight of Mrs. Jenkins’ words sank in. He had never imagined that Gloria wasn’t his biological mother. The realization hit him with a wave of shame for his hurtful words earlier that day.

Mrs. Jenkins placed a comforting hand on Tim’s shoulder. “She loves you more than anything, Tim. Despite everything, she has always been there for you.”

Tim nodded slowly, his heart heavy with regret. He had taken Gloria’s love and sacrifices for granted, blinded by his teenage frustrations. Now, faced with the truth, he understood the depth of her love and the strength of their bond.

Leaving Mrs. Jenkins’ apartment, Tim made his way back to their home, his steps heavy with remorse. He found Gloria sitting alone in the living room, her eyes red from crying.

“Gloria,” Tim began softly, his voice trembling with emotion. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean what I said. I didn’t know…”

Gloria looked up, tears still glistening in her eyes. She held out her arms, and without hesitation, Tim rushed into her embrace. They held each other tightly, the unspoken words of love and forgiveness flowing between them.

In that moment, Tim realized that family wasn’t just about blood—it was about love, sacrifice, and unconditional support. And as they sat together, mother and son, they knew that their bond was stronger than ever before, forged through moments of pain and healing.

Together, they faced the future with a newfound appreciation for each other, knowing that their love would carry them through any challenges that lay ahead.
